Russell Brand says Tunisia terror attack is the United Kingdom government’s fault | Bath

Speaking on his YouTube video blog The Trews, the comedian and political activist described the minute’s silence set to take place nationwide tomorrow as a “minute of bull***t”.

After Russell Brand raked up the fury this morning by making some more self aggrandizing headlines saying there should not be silence at noon to honour the dead of the most recent terrorist attack in Tunisia.

He went on to say: ‘There is no point having this minute’s silence on Friday, it is a minute of bulls***.

The self-styled revolutionary denounced David Cameron’s decision on Thursday to hold the silence at noon on Friday as an “empty, futile gesture”, as he attacked the Prime Minister’s foreign policy.

During the planned minute of silence, flags will be flown at half-mast over Whitehall departments and Buckingham palace one week after 38 people died, including 30 Britons, were killed by gunman by Seifeddine Rezgui. If you want to change this situation you have to stop perpetuating this problem.

Brand called on his fans to show respect for the victims of the atrocity by demanding that the government “stops selling arms to countries on its own human rights abuse list” and “stops carrying out foreign wars”.

Another added: “Absolutely disrespectful to victims of Tunisian beach massacre #RussellBrand”.

Eight other people were also killed in the horrific shooting.
