iFreePress Bringing News on Time Every Time Comedian Amy Schumer may have earned herself several Emmy nominations for her TV series, but Star Wars fanatics are outraged by her latest photo shoot for the US edition of GQ magazine.
From what you can see on the GQ website and the featured image of this article, Amy is giving mouth-to-cheek love with a classic blue lightsaber.
Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker, tweeted a different opinion: “Got excited when I saw @amyschumer @GQMagazine pics & thought she was just cast in Ep 8!”
The repulsive GQ photos feature Schumer sucking C-3POs metal finger and having a topless threesome in bed with C3PO and R2D2.
It also seems that Lucasfilm and Disney are none too amused with the sexy Star Wars shenanigans, either. The official Star Wars Twitter account tweeted a response on Friday in which they stated that they do not condone the use of their characters in an inappropriate manner. Legally, that means they fall under the category of Fair Use.
The reps for Star Wars continued to send the same message over and over again to fans who called the pictures “distasteful”. And with the release of “Trainwreck”, her lively romantic comedy, a collaboration with director Judd Apatow, it makes sense that Schumer would be poking a wider audience, one that doesn’t tune in for anything as high-concept as long, lascivious remakes of “12 mad Men”. The owners of the movie franchise didn’t think Schumer’s suggestive photos were very amusing.
Amy, who has been in the spotlight with her new movie “Trainwreck” and her popular Comedy Central show, feels like fame won’t last.
