This is what is known about the HP Chromebook 14 for 2015 with its specs, price, and release date.
Chromebook 14 is the newest offering of HP, where it features soft colors of the chassis.
The HP Chromebook 14 borrows a lot of its looks from the EliteBook Folio 1020 G1 for a much sleeker and thin design. This device will be available only in Silver color and, at only $280, the Chromebook G4 is predicted to make a few waves in the mid-range segment of laptops. The Chromebook 14’s USB 3.0 slot allows HP Sleep and Charge for to charge the gadgets when you are in a hurry.
The HD version of the Chromebook 14 is priced at $249.99, while the Full HD model checks in at $279.99 - both versions will be available in Turbo Silver and Sky Blue on November 8.
This large Chromebook weighs 3.94 pounds and is 17.8 millimeters thick. However, the world has since moved onto newer Celeron processors such the 1.5GHz Intel Celeron 3205U found in the Acer Chromebook C740 and even Core i3 CPUs found in Toshiba’s recently refreshed Chromebook 2.
It also features Google’s usual offer of 100GB free Drive storage for two years. Also included with the 2015 Chromebook 14 is 12 free Gogo in-air Internet passes for US domestic flights, three free Google Play movie rentals, and 90 days free of Google Play music.
Ports include one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, and an HDMI output, along with a combo headphones/microphone jack.
The story behind the story: New consumer Chromebooks are always nice, but HP is likely far more interested in the education and small to medium business market, where Google-flavored notebooks have a small, but solid foothold.
HP is also going to sell the Chromebook 14 G4 model later this month for $279, this particular model has been made particularly for schools and businesses. G4 version is also the first Chromebook to be verified for Citrix Receiver 1.8 for Chrome, which adds an extra layer of security when accessing applications and remote desktops. Optional HP Care Packs offer customers confidence in their investment beyond the one year standard limited warranty offerings.
