Texas A&M unveils black “Aggie Nights” alternate uniform

The all-black alternative uniform has been done many times in football, and in other sports as well, but Adidas found a way to freshen the concept for the Texas A&M Aggies. You can check out the release here.

Texas A&M is breaking out all-black uniforms on Halloween.

If Texas A&M fans weren’t excited enough for the upcoming season, the team gave them even more of a reason on Friday. The alternate uniform from Adidas will feature a black helmet with a black Texas A&M logo on the side, with the logo taking up much of the side of the helmet (as if anyone will be able to tell from the stands or on TV unless shown close up). (HGI). This innovative helmet features all-new reflective technology to light up the night.

I’m not a rocket scientist by any stretch of the means but that little nugget of information would lead me to believe that the Texas A&M Aggies will go for a blackout game versus the South Carolina Gamecocks on the 31st of October.

The uniforms feature a black jersey and black trousers with carbon fiber striping and metallic numbers.

This is actually A&M’s second foray into black from head-to-toe, as they went all-black to counteract Mississippi State’s Snow Bowl tribute uniforms back in 2012. Additionally, the Lone Star Logo is also incorporated into the pant stripes, creating a cohesive signature look.
