Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are in a dead heat among likely New Hampshire primary voters, according to the results of a Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll released Friday. Clinton opposed that bill in the Senate and said in the debate that Sanders wasn’t tough enough “at all” on gun violence.
Clinton won strong reviews for her performance in Tuesday’s Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas and she declared herself “really lucky in Las Vegas” late Wednesday after picking up the endorsement of the global Union of Painters and Allied Trades just outside the city.
The Democrat has flexed her muscle in Georgia.
Many tout Clinton as the easy favorite to win the Democratic nomination. “I do not support the United States getting involved in unilateral action”, said Bernie Sanders. He had the best line of the night when he interrupted the back-and-forth between Cooper and Clinton regarding her email controversy.
The poll also found that just 36 percent of interviewees are hoping Biden officially enters the race for what would he his third Democratic run for the Oval Office. “I know a lot of people were reading Donald Trump’s Twitter during the debate too”. “It wasn’t that complicated to me”, she said.
Former Virginia senator and current Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb doesn’t feel like he got enough attention at Tuesday night’s debate because it was “rigged” in favor of two of the five candidates standing atop CNN’s stage.
Sanders is trying to rebuild the coalition of young people and progressives who helped Obama defeat Clinton in 2008.
Last night’s first democratic debate had its fair share of moments, but for the most part was a civil discussion about the issues Americans are the most concerned with. Kai Lucid, a senior, said Sanders won the debate because of his energy and attitude. When Sanders raised his voice to Clinton stating “the American people are sick and exhausted of hearing about your damn emails”, he wrote, the room erupted in laughter and applause. But I think the Secretary is right.
Those surveyed responded nearly exactly the same way to the email question, regardless of whether they had watched the debate. Sanders, who almost matched Clinton in fundraising between July and October, has proven he can compete with Clinton financially by utilizing small donors.
Sanders attended a taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show“, which has become a popular stop for presidential hopefuls.
